Anfield Energy Inc. (CVE:AEC, OTCQB:ANLDF) has welcomed a move by Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, which, it says will bolster its uranium projects in the state, including the Charlie property on its path to production.

The politician has signed an agreement, which gives the Wyoming department of environmental quality (DEQ) the authority to regulate uranium recovery operations in the state.

With the approval, Wyoming becomes the 38th state to receive agreement state status, it said.

"We are very pleased to see Wyoming achieve Agreement State status," said Corey Dias, Anfield's chief executive.

"This is critical as it will allow for an even faster path to the licensing and permitting of projects, similar to what we have experienced in Utah.

"Moreover, it creates a much more straightforward path towards potential production for our 25 Wyoming-based uranium projects, including the Charlie Project, as the timeline for licensing an------ resource of 3.1mln pounds.

The inferred resource came in at an equivalent of 1.4mln pounds of uranium.

Meanwhile, there is also an exploration target at the project, which ranges from between 280,000 and 680,000 tons with an average grade ranging from 0.090 to 0.151% uranium.

That's the equivalent to an exploration target ranging from between  500,000 and 1.3mln pounds of uranium.

Shares in Anfield added over 16% to $0.40 in Toronto.
