ECR Minerals PLC (LON:ECR) has had evidence of gold mineralisation at its Bailieston project in the first assays back from a rock chip sampling programme.
Out of 76 samples submitted, 22 contained gold with grades between 0.5 g/t to 67.4 g/t (2.17 ounces per ton). Fourteen were retested to confirm the grades with results between 1.4 g/t to 75.5 g/t (2.4 ounces per ton).

ECR added the samples indicated gold at the surface in five target areas.
Craig Brown, chief executive, said though only early exploration results complement recent exploration progress at Blue Moon and the recognition of the potentially large gold system at Creswick announced on Tuesday.
“Overall we are building a suite of mineralised targets in our Victoria projects and this is strongly supporting the conviction of the company’s technical team as to the potential of the area covered by the company’s licence tenements.”
Results from a further 74 samples at Bailieston are due shortly, ECR added.
