Symphony Environmental shares pick up as it launches new distributor in Jordan

The firm said the new distributor, EVA Plastic Industries, would be licenced to supply d2w masterbatches in the country

Symphony Environmental Technologies plc (LON:SYM) shares were up in early deals Tuesday as it launched a new distributor for its d2w oxo-biodegradable plastics in Jordan.

The firm said the new distributor, EVA Plastic Industries, would be licensed to supply d2w masterbatches in the country and would join its network of distributors in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Lebanon, and Egypt.

EVA is also affiliated with the Sughayer Group, which specialises in supplying raw materials and additives to the plastics industry in Jordan, Iraq, the Palestinian Authority and Ethiopia.

Symphony said the launch was also attended by Dr Mohammed Khashashneh, a director from the Jordanian Ministry of Environment, who represented Mr Nayef Al Fayez, the Minister for the Environment.

Shares were up 1.9% at 13.2p.
