ECR Minerals PLC (LON:ECR) told investors it has restarted its exploration programme at the Bailieston project in Central Victoria, Australia.
The company noted that it has identified eight targets across its five exploration areas, and an exploration programme has been designed to test surface gold mineralisation.
WATCH: ECR Minerals sees 'significant gold opportunity' at Blue Moon in Australia
It follows ECR’s success at the Blue Moon project and is part of a new broader exploration programme.
Initially, the programme will start with ground exploration at the Byron and Cherry Tree Main targets, and, the first 150 rock chip samples have already been collected.
More sampling work will shortly take place, at the Creswick target, and, there’ll also be a follow-up programme at Blue Moon.
“With the support provided by investors in our recent financing, and following extensive review of the Victoria region gold prospective targets, ECR has recommenced its exploration programme in Australia,” said Craig Brown, ECR chief executive.
“We are pleased to have this gold exploration programme underway and look forward to the regular flow of results which we will report to market as material developments occur.
“Given the level of interest in Australian gold exploration we are excited by the results we are achieving on the ground, where our principle objective is to achieve a significant gold discovery.”
