Data on Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) showed that calls to boycott Nike Inc over an ad featuring quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who initiated taking a knee at NFL football games to protest social injustice in the US, seem to be falling flat, a report on MarketWatch said.
A look at Twitter mentions of boycotting the sportswear company "doesn't support a strong negative call against Nike," Ticker Tags analysts Mark Bachman and Daria Woods said in a recent report.
They said the data on Nike did not strike them as a cause for concern by Nike.
Twitter shares were 0.39% weaker at US$30.37.
