US stocks are set for a higher open, but dragging in pre-market deals is broadcasting titan CBS Corp (NYSE:CBS), whose shares are down 0.12% in New York.
The firm has been fired straight into the spotlight over the weekend as boss Les Moonves announced his resignation Sunday amid a flurry of allegations of sexual misconduct.
He has been a major figure at the network for over 20 years; he said he had made mistakes in his past but said he had never abused his power. Shareholders could be angered if he leaves the company with a huge payout.
Indeed, it's a day for people leaving jobs, it would appear.
Elsewhere, Jack Ma, executive chairman of Chinese e-commerce titan Alibaba (NASDAQ:BABA) says he plans to step down, to make way for new blood.
Ma will hand over to Daniel Zhang, currently chief executive, it was reported.
Alibaba shares shed 1.55% to US$159.86 in pre-market.

In the same vein, closely followed social media and tech firm Snap Inc (NYSE:SNAP) shares shed 1.91% to US$9.74 before the bell as it was another group to reveal a departure at the top.
Imran Khan, who has been its chief strategy officer for almost four years, will depart after a replacement is hired in coming months.
lt comes four months after Drew Vollero, the chief financial officer, left the company.
Elsewhere, it seems the maxim 'All publicity is good publicity' has rung true for sportwear titan Nike Inc (NYSE:NKE).
Shares pumped up 1.14% before the bell to US$81.21 Aas it emerged online sales grew by 31% in the bank holiday weekend after its controversial advert launched involving devisive NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
