EARLY MOVERS: CBS shares move on expected departure of CEO Les Moonves while G-III Apparel Group shares hitch higher before the bell

Also, in pre-market New York trade, Netflix was bouncing back, but ProQR Therapeutics NV plunged.

Wall Street shares are poised to move higher Thursday and G-III Apparel Group Ltd (NASDAD:GIII), the clothing group, added over 6% to US$47 in before the New York bell deals.

It came as the group raised its full year 2019 guidance for EPS (earnings per share) to between US$2.45 and US$2.55 compared to US$2.20 and US$2.30 previously.

Its sales in the second quarter came in at US$624.7mln versus consensus estimates of US$590mln.

Another stock to catch attention was the media company CBS (NYSE:CBS). Its shares jumped slightly, but later fell back on reports that its board is in settlement talks with CEO Les Moonves, who has been offered a US$100mln exit package in the wake of harrassment allegations.

Also in pre-market on Thursday, BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:BCRX) shares advanced over 5% to US$7.99.

It came after news that it has won a US$35mln, five-year contract from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for up to 50,000 doses of its antiviral flu therapy Rapivab.

Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), the streaming and program making behemoth, saw shares were also up in pre-market, having dived over 6% in the previous session.

Meanwhile, ProQR Therapeutics NV (NASDAQ:PRQR) shares plunged almost 13% before the bell to US$15.30 after it reported an offering of US$75mln.

Also in the news, AeroVironment Inc (NASDAQ:AVAV) shares gained 5.6% to US$92.45 after the tech group posted a second-quarter earnings beat.

The technology company earned US$0.85 per share, beating analysts' estimates of US$0.29 per share. The company put US$0.26 of its earnings into a litigation settlement gain.
