Legend Mining Ltd (ASX:LEG) has commenced a new extensive innovative moving loop electromagnetic survey (MLTEM) over Area D at its Rockford Project in Western Australia.
The project is in the Fraser Range district, well known for large-scale discoveries including Nova-Bollinger (nickel-copper) and Tropicana (gold).
The survey will cover 32 square kilometres and is expected to take 4-6 weeks to complete.

Legend’s managing director Mark Wilson said: “The new EM survey is primarily designed to identify targets for diamond drilling later this year.
“As we enter this next phase of activity at Area D, it is an appropriate time to remind shareholders that the exploration results to date from Area D are as good as and arguably better in certain aspects than Nova at the equivalent stage of the Nova discovery.”
Aircore drilling continues
The regional aircore drilling programme progressed well during August 2018 with the completion of 56 holes for 3,258 metres.
Assays have revealed no significant nickel-copper values but aircore drilling will now focus on new target areas in the southern Rockford area.
