Meteoric Resources NL’s (ASX:MEI) (FRA:RNF) contractor Geotech Ltd has started geophysical surveys at the listed company’s three largest cobalt projects — Beauchamp, Mulligan East and Iron Mask in the Canadian state of Ontario.
Geotech’s fly-overs of Beauchamp have begun, with Mulligan East to follow before Iron Mask goes last.

The versatile time-domain electromagnetic surveys will use the VTEM Plus system to fly 714 line-kilometres.
Meteoric said the latest system provided “unparalleled resolution and depth of investigation” as the sensors continuously detected high-magnetic areas to define the Nipissing Diabase potential cobalt host sequence in the grounds’ sub-surface.
The company will feed the data into 3D models and expects to follow up the work with exploration programs that include drilling.
The Ontarian-focused company has seven projects in the Canadian state and began a target generation exploration program across the Ontarian cobalt portfolio in the June 2018 financial quarter.
West Perth-based Meteoric drilled 11 diamond holes for 970 metres at the wholly-owned Mulligan Cobalt Project, intersecting its targeted fault structures and mineralised veins in multiple holes.

Meteoric Resources managing director Dr Andrew Tunks said today described Geotech as a world-leader in geophysics programs and noted the VTEM Plus technology it was using was “time efficient and extremely cost effective”.
Tunks said: “As our Beauchamp, Mulligan East and Iron Mask properties cover in excess of 60 km2 of prospective ground for cobalt mineralisation, flying the chopper survey as a first pass is a very economical method for target generation”.
