Engineering firm Spectris plc (LON:SXS) has confirmed that its soon-to-be boss has joined the board as chief executive designate and will officially step into the role on September 28
Heath succeeds John O’Higgins, who announced his plan to retire back in May.

The pair will work together until then to “ensure a smooth transition”, said Spectris.
Over the past month, Heath has purchased 21,500 shares in Spectris.
