Enterprise cloud company Nutanix Inc (NASDAQ:NTNX) reported on Thursday a bigger-than-expected earnings loss for the fiscal fourth quarter, pushing shares lower as a result in after-hours trade.
The company said fiscal fourth quarter earnings per share showed a loss of US$0.51, compared with a loss of US$0.43 and the average consensus the loss would only be US$0.21. Revenues for the quarter though reached US$303.7mln, compared with US$252.5mln in the same period a year ago and the expected US$300.57mln.
Fiscal 2018 revenue reached US$1.16bn, from US$845,9mln in the preceding year and earnings showed a loss of US$1.81 per share from a loss of US42.96 in fiscal 2017.

Shares of the company tumbled in postmarket business, falling 4.6% to US$58, after closing on Thursday off 0.5% at US$60.82.
