Google’s Play Store still hosts cryptocurrency mining apps despite a ban put in place in July, according to a CCN report.
The search giant’s terms of service state that apps that mine cryptocurrency on devices are not allowed, but apps that manage cryptocurrency mining are permitted.
Mining apps, including Bitcoin Mining, BTC Miner Pool, and Pickaxe Miner, are reportedly still available.
Alphabet Inc’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Google has enacted crypto-related bans before, including a ban on initial coin offering advertisements and cryptocurrency mining extensions on the Chrome Web Store.

In other crypto news, Yahoo Finance has integrated Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin trading on its platform, as per a Coin Telegraph report.
Statistics are available on other digital currencies, but users don’t have the option to buy and sell.

Cannabis company MedMen Enterprises Inc (CNSX:MMEN) has been tangled up in some political news recently.
During the first debate of the New York Governor’s race, candidates Governor Andrew Cuomo and Cynthia Nixon defended their positions on cannabis. Nixon was been an outspoken advocate for legalization while Cuomo has softened his stance but stopped short of a full endorsement.

A Cannabis Wire report highlighted that the New York governor accepted a total of US$140,000 from MedMen Enterprises. He also received a US$25,000 donation from Nicholas Vita, the CEO of Columbia Care, the holder of one of 10 cannabis cultivation and distribution licenses in New York.
In other political news, the California-based cannabis company has also welcomed Antonio Villaraigosa, the former mayor of Los Angeles, to its board of directors, as per a High Times report.
In Canadian cannabis news, Vancouver-based Crop Infrastructure Corp (CNSX:CROP) is taking another step into the Italian market.
The cannabis company plans to open two cannabidiol retail outlets in northern Italy before the end of the year.
Its brand Urban Juve will launch its first line of cosmetic and therapeutic products infused with hemp oil.
Through a joint venture, the company has a 25-acre hemp farm in Italy with the capacity to produce 600,000 hemp plants.
