Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) announced on Wednesday the international roll-out of Facebook Watch, saying it would be available to the initial clutch of countries from Thursday.
"With the global launch of Watch, we are supporting publishers and creators globally in two critical areas: helping them to make money from their videos on Facebook with Ad Breaks and helping them better understand how their content is performing with Creator Studio," Facebook said in a statement.
Facebook Watch was launched a year ago in the US and this would now give publishers and creators a worldwide market for their videos.
"Facebook Watch is now available everywhere," the social media giant said in a post on Facebook.

Facebook said page producers are eligible for Ad Breaks if they have been creating 3-minute videos that have generated more than 30,000 1-minute views over the past two months and have 10,000 Facebook followers.
The Ad Breaks are initially available in the US, UK, New Zealand and Australia.
"In September we will be expanding to Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Thailand, supporting English content and various local languages. In the coming months availability will further expand to more countries and languages," the company said.
Facebook is also launching Creator Studio globally, providing publishers a place to manage their entire content library and business. According to the BBC, the revenue split will be 55% to the creators and 45% for Facebook.
Watch has been portrayed as a rival to Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) but it will also compete against traditional TV outlets and streaming services such as Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX), the BBC reported.
Facebook dominates the social media arena. The company is based in Menlo Park, California.
