Woodford Investment Management has increased its stake in flu vaccine developer hVIVO PLC (LON:HVO) to just shy of 28%.
In June, hVIVO said it was preparing its Flu-V vaccine for a final stage trial after a phase IIb study of 176 patients achieved both its primary and secondary endpoints of a reduction in influenza infection rates while the severity and duration of symptoms also improved.
Woodford increased its holding in hVIVO to 27.94% from 27.02% through the latest share purchase.
FLU-v is being developed by Imutex Limited, hVIVO's 49% joint venture with the SEEK Group.
hVIVO shares eased a touch to 61.3p valuing the group at £48.7mln.
