Ryanair Holdings PLC (LON:RYA) has apologised after unsigned cheques sent to customers as compensation for disrupted flights bounced.
The budget airline posted 20,000 cheques to customers in July after air traffic control problems and pilot strikes led to thousands of flight cancellations across Europe this summer.

However, up to 190 of those cheques were not signed, meaning they bounced when customers tried to cash them.
“These cheques were re-issued last week and we apologise sincerely for this inconvenience,” a Ryanair spokesman said.
Earlier this month, a one-day strike by pilots in five European countries caused travel disruptions for about 55,000 passengers during the busy summer holiday period. The carrier grounded about 400 flights, about 15% of its services during the strike in Ireland, Germany, Belgium, Sweden and the Netherlands.
