Chipmaker Nvidia Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) topped analyst estimates in its second quarter, but shares fell on a weak outlook. The semiconductor company reported earnings of US$1.94 on revenue of US$3.12bn, surpassing analyst estimates of US$1.85 EPS on revenue of US$3.11bn.
Shares of the California-based company fell more than 5% to US$243.80 in Thursday after-hours trading.
Nordstrom Inc (NYSE:JWN) reported better-than-expected second-quarter earnings, raising its full year outlook. The retailer reported earnings of US$0.95 on revenue of US$4.1bn, crushing Wall Street estimates of US$0.84 per share on revenue of US$3.96bn. Digital sales accounted for more than 20% of the department stores’ sales.
Shares of the Seattle-based company were up nearly 14% to US$59.31.

Accuray Inc (NASDAQ:ARAY) is picking up steam in the after-hours session after reporting its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings. The medical device company reported a net loss of US$0.9mln or US$0.01 per share on revenue of US$113.8mln as its orders ballooned in the quarter and pushed its sales to a record high. Its results just beat Wall Street’s consensus estimates of a net loss of US$0.02 on revenue of US$107.73mln. The company develops radiosurgery and radiation therapy systems designed to treat tumors.
Shares of the California-based company were trading nearly 5% higher at US$3.70.
Zoë’s Kitchen Inc (NYSE:ZOES) was set to report its second-quarter earnings, but has postponed until Friday morning. The fast-casual chain is expected to report a net loss of US$0.04 on sales of US$82.87mln. The Texas-based company serves Mediterranean food, including falafel, kabobs, pitas and hummus.
Shares of the chain were down nearly 4% to US$9.20.
