Kibo Energy PLC (LON:KIBO) said it had completed the second phase of the school building and upgrade programme at the villages of Mheza and Namkukwe, near the Mbeya Coal to Power Project in the Songwe region of south-western Tanzania.
Kibo, with the help of villagers, rebuilt a school in Mheza after a rainstorm destroyed a building containing two classrooms and teachers' offices. At the same time, a new classroom was added to the neighbouring Namkukwe school.

Initial work, which saw the building of two new classrooms, was completed last March.
"Mheza and Namkukwe are very close to our hearts - Kibo's home has been in Tanzania for many years now and we are pleased that we can work with the local communities furthering ongoing development and improvement in the local region,” said chief executive Louis Coetzee.
