Tekcapital PLC (LON:TEK) said its portfolio company, Lucyd Pte Ltd, has launched an online store to sell spectacles and smart glasses.
The AIM-listed investment firm, which focuses on commercialising university technology, said the Lucyd eShop will feature the latest technologies and trends in eyewear, including Lucyd-developed smartglasses, designer frames, and other innovations in spectacles.

The company added that the shop would also provide several other features including a virtual try-on app, a loyalty programme, and the ability to pose eye health questions to a licensed optometrist for free.
The shop will initially offer prescription eyewear and Bluetooth enabled prescription glasses, with prototypes of smartglasses expected to be available in early 2019.
