The entertainment titan put in a US$71.3bn bid, beating out rival Comcast

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) is one step closer to its acquisition of Twenty-First Century Fox’s entertainment division.

The media giant has received the seal of approval from its shareholders, according to an AP report.
