Gem Diamonds recovers 100.5 carat diamond at Letšeng mine

The diamond, a top white colour Type IIa, is the eleventh diamond over 100 carat diamond to be recovered at the mine so far this year

Gem Diamonds Limited (LON:GEMD) has recovered a 100.5-carat diamond from its Letšeng mine in Lesotho.

The AIM-listed diamond and gemstone miner said the diamond, a top white colour Type IIa, was the eleventh over 100-carat diamond recovered in 2018 from Letšeng, the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond mine in the world.

Another diamond, coming in at 115 carats, was recovered at the mine in May.
