Tlou Energy Ltd (LON:TLOU), in its quarterly update, reminded investors that it is working to secure a clear pathway towards a gas-to-power pilot project in Botswana.
It wants to connect to the power grid in Botswana, further de-risk the Lesedi project through future drilling to unlock additional reserves.
The company also plans to progress efforts to secure offtake opportunities and possible expansions into other countries.

A core drill rig is on site and the company said that present operations are aimed at upgrading sub-surface data.
During the quarter, the company raised A$8mln of new capital to enable the drilling production pods, core-hole drilling, support the process related to regulatory approvals and provide working capital.
“The company intends to commence production pod drilling in the Q3 2018 with dewatering to be completed prior to planned production testing, installation and commissioning of power generation facilities,” Tlou said in a statement.
“The proposed production pods, referred to as Dual Lateral Pods, consist of two lateral or horizontal wells that intersect a vertical well. Up to three pods are anticipated subject to funds and operational parameters.”
