Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR) has completed the first stage of reverse circulation drilling at its Munarra Gully Copper-Gold Project, near the town of Cue in Western Australia.
Drilling was designed to test the primary zone between two small open pits at the main White Rose prospect, as well as a large 470 metre by 260 metre conductor plate 600 metres west of the prospect.
Visible copper mineralisation
Visual inspection of the drill core confirmed both oxide and primary copper mineralisation, with observed copper minerals including chalcopyrite and bornite.
Visible copper was seen in all four drill holes targeting mineralisation beneath the open pits.
Widespread copper and gold mineralisation in oxidised ultramafic/mafic had been previously exposed in the historical open cuts.
Previous rotary air blast drilling was confined to shallow oxide at a vertical depth of 32 metres.

Rumble tested the large conductive plate with two drill holes, both of which did not intersect the conductor.
The first hole missed the target due to the presence of a late dolerite dyke.
The second hole intercepted broad zones of dolerite and fine grain norite, but not any conductive lithology as expected from geological logging.
A down-hole transient electromagnetic survey has been commissioned to better delineate the conductor.
Subject to any reinterpretation as a result of the survey, further drilling is planned at the conductor.
