Amazon.com Inc’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) Prime Day sale was the talk of the town this week. However, savvy shoppers had other options for grabbing the latest deals.
In a push to boost its online traffic, Target Corp (NYSE:TGT) held a mega sale of its own.
Millions of shoppers flocked to Target's website, scooping up Dyson vacuums, Graco car seats, the Google Chromecast and the newly-popular Instant Pot pressure cooker.

The one-day deal drove the highest single traffic and sales day of the year on the site, according to data provided by the retailer.
Nearly 90% of the orders placed yesterday will be fulfilled directly from the chain’s stores.
The sale overlapped with Prime Day as well as Target’s own week-long promotion for teachers to receive 15% off school supplies.
Shares of the Minneapolis-based retailer were up slightly to US$77.45 in Wednesday pre-market trading.
