The media company will utilize the service’s machine learning and data analytics.

Fox has slashed its data center needs by half. More than 30 million assets, totaling 10 petabytes of content, have been moved to Amazon Glacier and Amazon Simple Storage Service, also known as Amazon S3.

AWS will be the chosen platform for more than 90,000 on-demand titles from brands including Fox, FX, National Geographic and 20th Century Fox Television.

Shares of Amazon were down less than 1% to US$1,810.70 in Tuesday pre-market trading. Twenty-First Century Fox shares also fell slightly to US$46.15.
