Crocs wants to make high heels comfortable

High-heeled Crocs are now available for comfort-conscious shoe lovers

High-heel wearers have long dealt with pinched toes and a wobbly walk for the sake of fashion. Crocs wearers have been shamed by the fashion community but rewarded with a soft, comfortable shoe.

Crocs Inc (NASDAQ:CROX), synonymous with ugly yet comfortable footwear, may have found a way to bridge the gap.

The shoe company is switching gears from its iconic rubber slipper to rubber heels.

The high-heeled Crocs are available in grey and black and retail for US$44.99. The official website is nearly sold out of the style, but shoppers can snag a pair on Amazon marked up to US$224.75.

Crocs has been transitioning from a fashion faux pas to a trendier status, collaborating with luxury fashion brands like Balenciaga and Alfie. British fashion designer Christopher Kane has also collaborated with the brand.
