Jayride Group breaks through $10 million milestone

Money paid by Jayride to transport companies using its platform is a key internal metric.

Jayride Group Ltd (ASX:JAY) has exceeded $10 million in cumulative payments made to transport companies on its e-commerce marketplace.

Jayride.com allows travellers to compare and book airport transfers offered by 2,000+ transport companies around the world.

Jayride’s managing director Rod Bishop said: “$10 million in cumulative earnings for transport companies is an important milestone.

“Transport company earnings are directly correlated with the growth of the Jayride business.

“For transport companies this shows that they can make really significant extra revenue by listing their services on Jayride.

“All kinds of transport services can be listed, and we’re able to send new bookings to improve the transport company’s bottom line.”

66 months to $5 million, only 11 more months to $10 million

Notably, it took Jayride 66 months, from January 2012 to July 2017, to generate $5 million in total earnings for transport companies, and only 11 months to generate the next $5 million.

Historically, Jayride has operated across five countries including the US, Australia and New Zealand, UK and Ireland.

Since May, Jayride has commenced the rollout of its pilot program to soft launch new transport companies in 19 new countries around the world.

A market release regarding the successful completion of the first of these pilots is expected later this June quarter.
