Halfords names Waitrose finance director Loraine Woodhouse as its new chief financial officer

Halfords said Woodhouse, finance director at the John Lewis Partnership's upmarket supermarket chain since 2015, will start as its CFO on November 1

Halfords PLC (LON:HFD) has named Loraine Woodhouse as its new finance chief, succeeding Jonny Mason, who is going to electricals retailer Dixons Carphone Plc (LON:DC).

The FTSE 250-listed bicycles to car parts retailer said Woodhouse, finance director at John Lewis Partnership-owned supermarket Waitrose since 2015, will start as its chief financial officer (CFO) on November 1.

Graham Stapleton, Halfords’ chief executive, commented: "I am delighted that Loraine will be joining Halfords as CFO and look forward to working with her. She has extensive financial leadership within service-based retail and will be a great addition to the senior team.”

Woodhouse was previously CFO of fashion retailer Hobbs, finance director of Capital Shopping Centres Limited (now Intu PLC (LON:INTU)) and finance director of Whitbread plc’s (LON:WTB) Costa Coffee Limited. As previously announced, Mason will depart on July 31.

Halfords, which warned on profit back in May, said it will publish a 20-week trading statement on 4 September 2018 followed by a Capital Markets Day on 27 September 2018.
