Jadar Lithium defines multi-element anomalous zones at Cer project

Samples collected at the prospect indicate the presence of pegmatites

Jadar Lithium Ltd (ASX:JDR) has used results from maiden reconnaissance and mapping activities to define a number of multi-element anomalous zones at its Cer project in Serbia.

Stream sediment and rock-chip sampling indicates two multi-element anomalies, with values including the presence of beryllium, niobium, tin, arsenic, antimony and molybdenum.

Presence of pegmatites and sulphides

Jadar collected 99 stream samples, which, along with 39 rock samples, were prepared at the ALS laboratory in Serbia.

Samples were then dispatched to the ALS laboratory in Ireland where they will be analysed for lithium and associated mineralisation.

Both anomalous stream clusters drain from a single area within the south-eastern corner of the prospect.

The anomalous area is supported by two sets of sample clusters, which indicate the presence of pegmatites and potentially sulphides.

Additional sampling justified

The rock-chip samples were collected from pegmatitic outcrops across the prospect and did not return economic lithium grades, but only minimal samples were taken from the target area due to a lack of visible outcrops from heavy vegetation and soil cover.

Given the lithium anomalism identified, Jadar believes additional prospecting and sampling is justified.

The company is planning a soil sampling program and a detailed mapping campaign to define and sample pegmatites in the south-eastern anomalous zone.

These pegmatites are the source of the stream sediment anomalies found in the reconnaissance program.
