Nasstar PLC (LON:NASA) has announced that its financial director Niki Redwood has been recognised as part of the CEO Today Business Women of the Year Awards 2018.

The AIM-listed IT services provider said the awards celebrate women who are the driving force behind their business, whilst also driving the equality agenda within their organisation and beyond.

Nasstar said Niki Redwood’s father David Redwood founded the business at a time when she had just returned from traveling the world, having worked for KPMG in Brisbane, as well as undertaking numerous accountancy projects for businesses in Sydney, and then running her own events management company once back in the UK.

David Redwood asked his daughter for her help in setting up the business which she agreed to do for a few months and 18 years later she is still Nasstar’s finance director and still core to the growth and development of the business.

“Niki is extremely deserving of this award due to her long-standing contribution to Nasstar and we’re delighted to see her recognised as part of a celebration of the female leaders redefining business today and tomorrow,” the company said.
