BT Group PLC (LON:BT.) has hiked prices for its broadband, landline phone services and TV sport package customers from 16 September 2016, the second increase this year.
In an announcement on its website, the FTSE 100-listed firm said the cost of its Superfast Fibre Plus package will go up by 40% to £28.75 a month, up from £20.50, while landline rental will increase to £19.99 a month, up from £18.99, or to £59.97 from £56.97 if paid quarterly.

The group’s standard broadband prices, including line rental will increase by £2.50 a month, while calls to landlines will increase by 2p a minute, with calls to mobiles up by 1p a minute, and international call costs hiked by 5p per minute.
BT, which has 10mln customers, last raised prices in January, when broadband, landline and TV sport packages were hiked by 33%.
Back in May, the telecoms giant unveiled plans to cut 13,000 managerial and back-office jobs and leave its London headquarters as it launched another restructuring.
The strategy changes came as BT also reported its full-year results showing a 3% drop in fourth-quarter revenue to £5.967bn, just missing analysts' expectations, while core earnings rose by 1% to £2.083bn.
However, the group paid a final dividend of 10.55p, giving a full year pay-out of 15.4p, unchanged from the previous year.
