St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) is set to resume drilling after expanding the program for its Mt Alexander project near Leonora in Western Australia.
The reverse circulation (RC) and diamond program will commence with the testing of four new electromagnetic (EM) conductors at the Investigators prospect.
The program will also include definition drilling at the Stricklands prospect.

Diamond drilling is planned to commence 8 July 2018 at Investigators, which is the largest of the three prospects in the Cathedrals Belt at the Mt Alexander project.
The downhole EM conductors to be drilled are considered excellent targets for the identification of further massive nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation.
The first conductor to be drilled will be X1, which is modelled with a very strong conductivity of 67,000 Siemens.
Multiple drill rigs in action
St George’s executive chairman John Prineas said: “We are excited to launch the next phase of the 2018 drilling campaign at Mt Alexander with an expanded program that will see multiple drill rigs in action.
“The potential at Mt Alexander continues to grow and we are delighted to be able to accelerate this year’s exploration program.”
