Sound Energy gets greenlight for proposed Tendrara-Lakbir wells

The explorer described the approval as an important step in the local permitting process

Sound Energy PLC’s (LON:SOU) new drilling plans for the Tendrara-Lakbir permit have been given the environmental greenlight from the Moroccan authorities.

The company said in a statement that it has secured approval for its Environmental Impact Assessment for the TE-9 and TE-10 wells.

More broadly, the approval spans a total of eight wells in the area including the TE-9 and TE-10 drilling locations.

“[It] is an important step in the local permitting process and enables the Company to now finalise its preparations for the forthcoming wells,” Sound Energy said in a statement.
