Pacific American Coal Ltd's (ASX:PAK) strategic focus remains on the wholly-owned Elko coking coal project in British Columbia.
The project team in North America has now transitioned into the execution phase of the 2018 exploration program.
This will include the key planning task of selecting drillers and construction contractors.
As expected, the ground conditions at the Elko Project site are improving, with members of the project recently visiting.

The exploration goal for 2018 will be to further delineate reserves and resources.
Of the seven coal seems at Elko, three have been identified as having the potential to produce a hard coking coal product, which will provide a strong product mix with both HCC and premium quality PCI.
Elko currently has 257 million tonnes of JORC 2012-compliant resources.
