British Airways (LON:BAY) reported that traffic rose by 3.5% in November, while passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometres, was up 5.1% on November 2009.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (LON:RBS) said its subsidiary the Royal Bank of Scotland N.V. has reached agreement for the sale of its 82.35% holding in RBS NB Uzbekistan CJSC to Korea Development Bank.

Rio Tinto (LON:RIO, NYSE:RTP, ASX:RIO) and Sinosteel Corporation have extended their Channar Mining joint venture (JV) in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

Temporary power provider Aggreko (LON:AGK) has acquired Northland Power Services, which provides power solutions for the oil and gas exploration and production market in the US, for up to US$26 million.

Desire Petroleum’s (LON:DES) new discovery will focus attention on the potential of the north Falkland Basin, according to Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS). The investment banking giant believes the oil discovery could prompt a 97 percent uplift for the stock, once it has been de-risked.

Hochschild Mining (LON:HOC) will receive just under C$80 million, after it agreed to sell its remaining equity in Lake Shore Gold Corp (TSX:LSG).

Green Dragon Gas (LON:GDG) revealed today it has raised just under US$103 million via an institutional share placing. The proceeds will be used to accelerate its drill programme in the Shizhuang South block in China.

Active Energy (LON:AEG) has been chosen as a recommended contractor by the Carbon Trust, under its Implementation Solutions pilot.

Wasabi Energy (LON:WAS, ASX:WAS) has now joined the AIM market, following a £4.9 million (A$7.9 million) equity placing. Wasabi invests in companies and projects which it believes can provide solutions to the world’s energy and environmental challenges.

Lansdowne Oil & Gas (LON:LOGP) announced plans to acquire 3D seismic in early 2011 over the Barryroe oil accumulation in the North Celtic Sea, offshore Ireland, and an asset swap with Providence Resources (LON:PVR).

Aurelian Oil & Gas (LON:AUL) has completed its €100 million equity placing. The company issued 146.8 million new shares priced at 57.5 pence. The new shares began trading on London’s AIM market this morning.

Ceramic Fuel Cells (LON:CFU, ASX:CFU) has received a conditional order for up to 200 integrated power and heat generators from German energy service provider EWE.

Shares in Promethean World PLC (LON:PRW) took a beating on AIM today after the interactive learning technology specialist warned that its full year results will be below market expectations.
