Silver City Minerals drills 61-meter intersection of copper-gold

The third round of drilling is ongoing with further assays pending for 12 more holes.

Silver City Minerals Ltd (ASX:SCI) has received assays revealing 61 metres at 0.7% copper and 0.14 g/t gold from 184 metres at the Copper Blow Copper-Gold-Cobalt Project near Broken Hill.

Assays are from the first two diamond drill holes completed in the current drilling program at Copper Blow.

The steeply dipping zone of copper-gold mineralisation extends 200 metres along strike, 270 metres down dip from surface and is open in all directions.

Furthermore, the magnetic anomaly this drilling is testing is just one of seven strong magnetic anomalies along the shear zone.

Third round of drilling ongoing, assays pending

In the third round of drilling at Copper Blow Silver City has completed 14 drill holes with assays pending for 12 holes.

The focus of recent drilling has been the North Zone represented by a magnetic anomaly which is 450 metres long and up to 80 metres wide.

Significantly, a drill hole testing the North Zone at depth in January this year returned 42.2 metres at 1.3% copper and 0.4 g/t gold.

Comparing the latest results with prior holes, the assays indicate that copper-gold mineralisation is 40 metres wide.

Grade increasing with depth

Drill data to date indicates that a broad zone of copper-gold mineralisation extends from surface to at least 270 metres.

Notably, mineralisation is remains open and grade is increasing at depth.
