World Wrestling Entertainment shares bout higher along with Micron Technology before the bell

Kohl's Corp and the New York Stock Exchange are also in focus before the bell

In US pre-market trade, World Wrestling Entertainment Inc (NYSE:WWE) saw shares nudge higher, up 0.017% to US$57.87 and added over 12% yesterday, after a report of a Fox deal.

News was that the entertainment giant had bagged a five-year TV deal with Fox worth more than US$1bn.

It comes as the parent firm of Fox, namely 21st Century Fox (NASDAQ:FOX), wants to sell several properties to Walt Disney Co.

Elsewhere, US biotech group Celgene Corp (NASDAQ:CELG) saw shares add nearly 1% in pre-market deals to US$75.38 after it struck a cancer deal with German headquartered Evotec AG.

The pair have struck a-term strategic drug discovery and development partnership and will work to identify new therapies in oncology — the study and treatment of tumors.

Micron Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MU) shares added 5.53% to US$58.55 and were also up Monday, after the chip firm upped its guidance for the third quarter.

The firm now expects sales for the quarter to be in the range of between US$7.7bn and US$7.8bn compared to the previous guidance of between US$7.2bn and US$7.6bn.

Meanwhile, grocer Kohl's Corp (NYSE: KSS) shares jumped 5.39% to US$69 before the bell after it unveiled first-quarter earnings that beat expectations and raised its full-year guidance.

Last but not least, the New York Stock Exchange is about to get its first female leader in its 226-year history.

Stacey Cunningham, the exchange's chief operating officer, will reportedly become the Big Board’s 67th president.
