Gulf Keystone Petroleum (LON:GKP) has commenced drilling operations on its Shaikan-2 appraisal well, on December 1, 2010. This is the first deep appraisal well to be drilled on the company's substantial Shaikan oil discovery.

Sirius Minerals (LON:SXX) has appointed Don Dickie and Mark Arundell to the company's geological team.

Nautical Petroleum (LON:NPE) has now bought back into the 9/02b-4z exploration sidetrack by payment of their share of costs. Under the terms of the Joint Venture agreement, a further payment will be due upon commencement of the development.

Roxi Petroleum (LON:RXP) has received approval from the Anti-Monopoly Agency of Kazakhstan to sell a 40% interest in Galaz and Company LLP, through its subsidiary Galaz Energy BV, to LG International, announced on 29 April 2010.

Avanti Communications Group (LON:AVN) has signed a five year contract worth $15.5 million, with the international satellite service provider TigrisNet.

Herencia Resources (LON:HER) has completed a placing, through WH Ireland Limited, to raise approximately £4.7 million. The funds raised from the Placing will be used to advance the Company's 70% owned Paguanta Project, located in northern Chile.

Ascot Mining (LON:ASMP) poured 40.1 ounces of gold dore from its newly expanded mill on 27 November this year.

Blinkx (LON:BLNX) announced that Samsung Electronics has selected blinkx for inclusion on its first tablet device, the GALAXY Tab, powered by the Android Operating System 2.2.

Valiant Petroleum (LON:VPP) said that it is on track to deliver a strong 2010 following production at the upper end of its guidance range, a discovery on the Tybalt exploration well and notable progress on the Causeway development.
