Games Workshop Group PLC (LON:GAW) shares rose on Friday as the fantasy board games retailer said its sales and profits are slightly ahead of full-year expectations.
In a very brief trading update, the FTSE 250-listed firm said that following on from the group’s update on February 5, the good growth trends have continued to the end of April.

The company added: "Sales and, given the high operational gearing of the business, profits for 2017-2018 to date are therefore slightly above expectations."
Games Workshop said it intends to announce a further update at the close of the financial year ending 3 June 2018.
In early morning trading, Games Workshop shares added 0.8% to 2,460.0p.
