Legend Mining Ltd (ASX:LEG) has received assays from 32 aircore holes from Area D within its Rockford Project in the Fraser Range region of Western Australia.
Infill aircore drilling has confirmed over 300 metres of host rock featuring anomalous nickel-copper-cobalt.
Best results include 37 metres at 0.34% nickel, 0.22% copper and 0.03% cobalt from 56 metres and 26 metres at 0.28% nickel, 0.31% copper and 0.03% cobalt from 56 metres.
Notably, both of these holes ended in mineralisation.
Shares are up 12% intra-day to 3.7 cents.

Legend’s managing director Mark Wilson said: “This is fertile ground for the style of nickel-copper ore body we are seeking.
“Each hole in this section has ended in mineralisation.
“Petrology has shown that we have sulphides in the right host rock in hole 183 and sulphides have also been logged in a further five holes.
“Shareholders should also note the positive indicators for a second mineralised intrusive around hole 167.”

The anomalous nickel-copper-cobalt results associated with gabbronorite host rock occur over 300+ metres in strike length.
Importantly, drill assays further confirm the presence of a nickel-copper sulphide bearing mafic or ultramafic intrusive body at Area D.
Petrology has confirmed a second gabbronorite intrusion around drill hole RKAC167.
Drilling ongoing at Area D to find additional intrusive bodies
Aircore drilling is ongoing at Area D aimed at identifying additional mineralised intrusive bodies.
A full review of all moving and fixed loop electromagnetic (EM) data at Area D has commenced.
The review will incorporate previous reverse circulation and diamond drilling data along with aircore drilling information from the current program.
The objective of this review is to design further innovative EM surveys which are nominally scheduled for the September quarter.
