GoPro shares climb for second day after report China's Xiaomi may make takeover bid

Xiaomi is considering an offer but doesn't want to overpay, report says

Shares of GoPro Inc. (NASDAQ:GPRO) rose for a second day after a report said that Chinese firm Xiaomi may make an offer for the maker of action cameras.

The stock climbed 3.3% to US$5.39 at 9:53 a.m., giving the company a market value of US$750mln.

Xiaomi is considering an offer but doesn’t want to overpay, The Information reported, citing a person close to the matter. Dropbox may garner US$1bln in a takeover bid, according to the website.
