Nike Inc. (NYSE:NKE), the world’s largest sports brand, said it acquired Israel-based Invertex Ltd., a computer-vision firm, to help bolster its digital-technology platforms.
Nike, based in Portland, Oregon, didn’t provide a price for the transaction in its statement after the market close yesterday. Its shares were unchanged at US$67.18 in pre-market trading today.
“The acquisition of Invertex will deepen our bench of digital talent and further our capabilities in computer vision and artificial intelligence,” Nike said in the statement.
