Prior to joining Premier African, Hampel was chief operating officer at Tantalus Rare Earths AG, which made a significant discovery on Madagascar.
Hampel replaces industry veteran John Stalker, who was praised by Premier African’s chief executive George Roach as having made a “valuable contribution” to the company.
“I would like to express my appreciation and wish him well in future endeavours, and his goal of reducing his current work load,” Roach added.
