Royal Mail PLC’s (LON:RMG) chief executive (CEO) Moya Greene could step down as early as this year, according to a report from City AM.
The newspaper said it was unclear when exactly Greene would leave the FTSE 100-listed postal service, but that a source close to the board said an announcement could be made prior to the company’s full-year results on 17 May 2018.

Sky News has reported that Rico Black, the CEO of General Logistics Systems (GLS), Royal Mail’s parcel delivery arm, could replace Greene.
Greene has been the CEO of Royal Mail since 2010, after being recruited from the Canadian postal service, and led the group through privatisation in 2013.
She is also a director of easyJet PLC (LON:EZJ) and the FTSE 100 mining company Rio Tinto PLC (LON:RIO).
In a note to clients, analysts at Liberum Capital commented that while GLS had seen consistent strong growth under Black's tenure, helped by a series of acquisitions, there may be concerns that he lacks experience dealing with "the regulated, highly unionised and politically sensitive UK business, which continues to account for the bulk of the group’s profits".
Royal Mail shares were steady in early trading Monday at 556.6p
