Galectin Therapeutics, Spectrum Brands Holdings, PVH Corp and more - Thursday's movers

A look at some notable stock movers from Thursday - the last day of the first quarter

Wall Street shares made good gains on Thursday and there were some notable movers, including Galectin Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:GALT), which added over 25% to US$4.74 after it posted a 2017 loss of 49 cents a share.

It also said that it continues to remain in discussions with a number of pharma companies about potential partnerships.

Meanwhile, Spectrum Brands Holdings Inc (NYSE:SPB) added over 15% on the last day of the trading week after the firm and Energizer reported the expiry of Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period for the acquisition of Spectrum Brands' battery and lighting products business.

In other news, Zosano Pharma Corporation (NASDAQ:ZSAN) lost over 45% after the company confirmed the pricing of a 10mln share offering at US$5 per share.

Last but not least, Calvin Klein owner PVH Corp (NYSE:PVH) shares gained 5.15% to US$151.43 each after the company reported better-than-expected results for its fourth quarter and also posted a strong forward forecast.
