Capricorn Metals Ltd (ASX:CMM) has received high-grade gold hits from drilling adjacent to the 1.3 million ounce Bibra resource at Karlawinda Gold Project in Western Australia.
Results from Tramore prospect confirm the potential for a major zone of mineralisation just 100 metres south of the Bibra deposit.
Results of up to 3 metres at 4.56 g/t gold
Results include 4 metres at 3.77 g/t gold from 78 metres and 4 metres at 3.44 g/t from 68 metres from two holes within broader 19 metre and 17 metre intersections respectively.
Another broad intersection of 34 metres included 3 metres at 3.48 g/t from 41 metres and 3 metres at 4.56 g/t from 48 metres.
Tramore is south of the proposed Bibra pit
Mineralisation has now been defined over a strike length of 450 metres and to a depth of at least 100 metres, immediately south of the proposed Bibra open pit and remains open at depth and along strike.
There were 10 reverse circulation (RC) holes for 1,184 metres drilled along the interpreted trend grid targeting oxide and primary mineralisation.
Scale at Karlawinda grows
Executive chairman Heath Hellewell said: “The scale of the opportunity at Karlawinda continues to grow with each drilling program.
“We intend to pursue the emerging opportunity at Tramore aggressively, in parallel with our other exploration programs.”
Follow-up RC drilling is expected to begin early in the next quarter as soon as relevant approvals are in place.
