Stitch Fix, United States Steel, Tilly's Inc and more - AFTER HOURS

Proactive takes a look at what was moving the needle, after hours in New York

It was a mixed finish on Monday, with the Dow Jones plunging. After the bell, several stocks were in focus.

Stitch Fix Inc (NASDAQ:SFIX) shares plunged 9.205 to US$21.90 after the bell as it published results.

The online shopping service group announced earnings per share (EPS) that fell 4 US cents below estimates and revenue that beat estimates by US$5mln.

Meanwhile, United States Steel Corp (NYSE:X) nudged up 1.22% to US$44.10 after the New York bell. Companies like these are certainly in the spotlight currently and it provided full-year 2018 guidance following President Donald Trump's recent order on tariffs.

The group has forecast earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of US$1.7bn.

Elsewhere, shares in Tilly's Inc (NYSE:TLYS) shed 12.69% to US$12.52 as the clothes retailer posted fourth quarter sales stats that did not cheer the market. The forward guidance was also weak.

Also, after the bell, Myriad Genetics Inc (NASDAQ:MYGN) shed 4.6% to US$31.50 after the molecular diagnostic company revealed it had received a subpoena from the Department of Health and Human Services in connection with an investigation into possible false and improper claims submitted for payment under Medicare and Medicaid.

The firm revealed it was cooperating with the government's request.
