Caterpillar, Urban Outfitters, Autodesk Inc and Boeing - AFTER HOURS

A look at the after hours trade in New York on Tuesday

Wall Street shares finished on the front foot Tuesday and after the bell, equipment giant Caterpillar Inc (NYSE:CAT) shares shed 1.79% to US$151 on further concerns about President Donald Trump's plan to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum.

Boeing Co (NYSE: BA), the huge auircraft maker, was also down for the same reason - down 1.69% to US$343.02 each.

Elsewhere, shares of Urban Outfitters Inc (NASDAQ:URBN) shed 4.81% to US$35.20 after the clothing retailer announced earnings per share (EPS) and revenue that beat estimates, but its gross margin came in below expectations.

Meanwhile, Autodesk Inc (NASDAQ:ADSK) shares added 9.29% to US$131 after the New York bell.

The software company announced earnings and revenue that surpassed Wall Street expectations, but first-quarter guidance was light.

Elsewhere, H&R Block Inc (NYSE:HRB) added 6.64% n the extended session. The tax specialist's EPS (earnings per share) and revenue were better than expected, and the company reported a loss-per-share that was 13 cents narrower than estimated.
