After a positive finish on Tuesday, US stock futures were pointing higher and there was a clutch of stocks in focus before the bell.
Dollar Tree Inc (NASDAQ:DLTR) slumped 10.93% to US$92.95 after it missed its fourth quarter forecasts.
The Chesapeake, Virginia-based company said it had profit of US$4.37 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were US$1.89 per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations.

Elsewhere, Ross Stores Inc (NASDAQ:ROST), the department store group, shares were down 4.14% to US$77.18, as it posted upbeat results for its fourth quarter but issued weak same-store sales growth forecast for the year.
It was among one of the biggest losers on the day.
