Tekcapital PLC (LON:TEK) shares gained on Thursday after it told investors that the Lucyd blockchain venture has received US$6.1mln in contributions through its “token generation event” or TGE.
Lucyd, established by Tekcapital last year, was set up to develop ergonomic, augmented reality (AR) smartglasses and a blockchain-based app store tied to the device.

The company told investors that proceeds from the TGE will be used to advance Lucyd’s business plan as well as for working capital.
Additionally, it noted that it has formed strategic alliances with more than 10 companies to develop AR and security software for the technology.
In late afternoon trading, Tekcapital shares were up 5.4% at 19.5p.
