No assault rifles for Dick's - US retailer takes stance in wake of mass shootings

The retailer's ban will begin immediately, and it comes alongside other more stringent rules for gun sales.

Dicks Sporting Goods Inc (NYSE:DKS) stock was up 1.57% after the retail group announced it would no longer sell assault-style weapons.

The ban will begin immediately, and it comes alongside other more stringent rules.

Also, Dick’s will no longer sell high capacity magazines and would not sell any guns to customers below the age of 21.

Ahead of Wednesday’s opening deals, Dick’s was up 50 cents or 1.57% to trade at US$32.10.
